JANUARY

As we step into the new year, let’s take a moment to reflect—not just on what we want to accomplish, but on how we want to feel. This year, let’s focus on caring for our minds as much as our bodies, creating space for open conversations about mental health, and extending compassion to ourselves and others.

FEBRUARY

Have you ever paused to consider the power of your thoughts? The way we think influences how we feel, the choices we make, and how we view the world around us. Positive, empowering thoughts can help us overcome challenges, while negative, self-defeating thoughts can hold us back.

MARCH

Every child deserves the chance to grow, connect, and thrive. But for kids and teens with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), things like making friends, managing emotions, and staying organized can be really tough. The good news? With patience, kindness, and the right tools, we can help open doors to possibilities.

APRIL

Spring is all about renewal—a reminder from nature that change is not only natural but necessary. Just like the world awakens from winter, we have the opportunity to refresh, reset, and step into something new. And what better way to start than with our April newsletter?

MAY

Mental health is just as important as physical health — and during the month of May, we take time to recognize, reflect, and raise awareness about it. It’s a dedicated moment to shine a light on the emotional, psychological, and social well-being of individuals across all ages and walks of life.

JUNE

If you’re celebrating National Indigenous History Month this June, I hope you’ll join me in doing it with intention. Let’s celebrate the richness of Indigenous cultures, acknowledge the truth of our shared history, support the present, and be part of building a healthier future for Indigenous communities.

JULY

As we celebrate Canada Day and settle into the
heart of summer, it’s a beautiful time to honour not only our country but also ourselves. July offers a natural pause, a moment to breathe, to reflect, and to reconnect. This season invites us to slow down and notice the little things: the warmth of the sun, the sound of laughter, the joy of being present.

AUGUST

As we welcome August, the final full month of
summer here in Canada, it’s the perfect time to
pause and appreciate everything this vibrant
season has to offer before the leaves begin to turn and the air grows crisp. Whether you’re a lover of outdoor adventures, festivals, or quiet moments by the lake, hopefullyAugust offers you more time to focus on your well-being.

SEPTEMBER

Our in-person clinic, York Region CBT, is based in Vaughan, Ontario, but our reach goes far beyond. We proudly provide Online Therapy in Ontario to individuals, couples, and families across the entire province. For more than 10 years, our mission has been to help Ontarians navigate life’s challenges, build resilience, and experience meaningful change.

OCTOBER

Fall also reminds us that change can be beautiful. Just like the leaves turning red and gold, we can let go of old worries and make room for new joys.
As you celebrate this season, try asking yourself: What makes me feel peaceful? What helps me feel strong? What little moments bring me joy?
