Dr. Beaman is the Director of York Region CBT and a registered clinical psychologist with The College of Psychologists of Ontario.
Dr. Beaman is the Director of York Region CBT and a registered clinical psychologist with The College of Psychologists of Ontario. She utilizes evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Mindfulness-based therapies. She has been practicing in the GTA since 2008 and founded York Region CBT in 2014. Dr. Beaman completed her doctoral training at Concordia University. She completed much of her clinical training in Toronto at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) in the Mood and Anxiety Program. Dr. Beaman continued to work within this program for a number of years treating individual patients, developing and running CBT group therapy programs and training doctoral students. Dr. Beaman has worked in a number of other clinical contexts including Family Health Teams, academic settings, and interdisciplinary teams. Dr. Beaman received her MBSR facilitator training through the Centre for Mindfulness Studies in Toronto. Dr. Beaman is a credentialed member of the Canadian Association of Cognitive and Behavioural Therapies (CACBT) and a registered provider for Veteran’s Affairs Canada.
In addition to her work at York Region CBT, Dr. Beaman offers consulting to corporate clients and third-party payers. Dr. Beaman leads MBSR groups through the Centre for Mindfulness Studies, and practices at another location in downtown Toronto: Medcan.

Dr. Rodrigues received her PhD in Counselling and Clinical Psychology from the University of Toronto (OISE/UT), and is currently registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario.
Dr. Rodrigues received her PhD in Counselling and Clinical Psychology from the University of Toronto (OISE/UT), and is currently registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario. She completed her predoctoral residency at the Counselling and Psychological Services program at the University of Toronto and the Psychological Trauma Program at CAMH. Dr. Rodrigues has experience providing assessment and treatment for adults with a variety of mental health challenges, including depression, anxiety, perfectionism, self-esteem issues, life transitions, relationship problems, and stress management. She has trained in evidence-based treatments including CBT and Emotion-focused Therapy (EFT) and integrates across therapeutic approaches to help clients achieve their goals. Dr. Rodrigues also trained at the Mental Health Program at North York General Hospital and the Outpatient Program at the Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences. Dr. Rodrigues has also participated in clinical research through her involvement with the evaluation of the Outpatient Eating Disorders Program at Lakeridge Health Oshawa and as a clinical therapist on a pilot study examining effective treatments for Generalized Anxiety Disorder.

Dr. Bauer received her PhD in clinical psychology from Concordia University and is currently registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario. She has been practicing in the GTA for over 10 years. Dr. Bauer completed her clinical internship at CAMH in the Mood and Anxiety Program where she subsequently worked as a clinical psychologist. She worked at the University of Toronto counselling centre from 2013-2018, providing CBT to students dealing with a variety of mental health difficulties. Dr. Bauer provides CBT for a number of mental health issues, including but not limited to various anxiety and mood disorders, perfectionism, procrastination, stress-management, and adjustment to life transitions. Her approach is primarily cognitive-behavioral but she incorporates other evidence-based skills as needed. She is passionate about helping clients identify the values and goals that contribute to a meaningful life. She works in collaboration with clients to identify the main presenting problem and develop an individualized treatment plan that fits their needs. She and the client set realistic and meaningful goals for therapy in order to develop the habits and skills needed to reduce the symptoms that interfere in their daily life, promote wellness and emotional resilience and lead to a productive and happy life. Dr. Parikh received her Ph.D. in Clinical and Counselling Psychology at the University of Toronto. She completed her clinical psychology residency at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) in the Psychological Trauma Program and at the Centre for Student Development and Counselling at Ryerson University.
Dr. Parikh received her Ph.D. in Clinical and Counselling Psychology at the University of Toronto. She completed her clinical psychology residency at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) in the Psychological Trauma Program and at the Centre for Student Development and Counselling at Ryerson University. She has extensive clinical training and experience in assessment and evidence-based treatment of a wide range of psychological concerns, including Anxiety Disorders, Depressive Disorders, and Trauma- and Stressor-Related Disorders. Dr. Parikh provides therapy for other life stressors such as coping with school, work, relationships, perfectionism, procrastination, transitions, and loss. Dr. Parikh’s main therapeutic orientations are Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT)and Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT). She also draws heavily from various mindfulness-based therapies and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), in which she has specialized interest and clinical training. At its core, Dr. Parikh’s approach is infused with deep empathy as well as commitment to upholding a safe, accepting, and compassionate therapeutic environment. Dr. Akman received her Ph.D in Clinical and Counselling Psychology from the University of Toronto and is registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario. She has been in practice for close to 30 years, working with individuals, couples and families. Dr. Akman has had a longstanding interest in psychosocial determinants of mental health.
Throughout her career, she has focused on understanding how particular life circumstances, such as gender and cultural expectations, socioeconomic status, and adverse life events, may be related to an individual’s current mental health difficulties. This framework has also informed her work with couples and families. Her dedication to this area of study led her to various clinical and research positions working in the area of women’s mental health. For the last 25 years, she was employed at CAMH, most recently and extensively as a staff psychologist with the Women’s Program. In that role, Dr. Akman was responsible for providing direct client care to women who had complex mental health concerns along with trauma histories, training graduate students in the provision of trauma-informed psychotherapy, and engaging in program evaluation and development. Dr. Akman recently decided to make the transition from that role into full-time private practice.
Dr. Akman believes strongly that the foundation of effective psychotherapy treatment is the development of a safe and collaborative relationship between therapist and client. To that end, she aims to create an environment in which her clients feel heard and accepted. Dr. Akman is an integrative therapist, drawing from client-centred, emotion-focused and trauma-informed approaches. She sees individuals, couples, and families. As a family therapist, Dr. Akman mainly works with adult family members who want to resolve current or longstanding relationship issues.

Dr. Heifetz is the Director of Child and Family Services at York Region CBT. She received her PhD in Clinical-Developmental Psychology from York University, and is currently registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario.
Dr. Heifetz is passionate about supporting children, youth, and families in optimizing their mental health through evidence-based assessment and treatment approaches tailored to each individual client. Dr. Heifetz provides comprehensive psycho-educational, socio-emotional, and developmental assessments, and evidence-based interventions to children, youth, and families for a variety of mental health concerns. Dr. Heifetz also offers therapy to younger children through play-based therapy work as well as parent consultation with respect to social-emotional and behavioural concerns.
Dr. Heifetz has training and experience working with individuals with a range of developmental and mental health conditions, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), anxiety and mood disorders, disruptive behaviour disorders, learning disabilities, and parent-child conflict.
Dr. Heifetz is currently the Child and Adolescent Psychologist and Director of Child and Family Services at York Region CBT. She received her PhD in Clinical-Developmental Psychology from York University, and she is currently registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario. Dr. Heifetz completed her clinical internship at Surrey Place Centre and her postdoctoral residency at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH).
Dr. Heifetz haspreviously worked at local community clinics, including Boomerang Health and the York Hills Centre. Dr. Heifetz has also published and presented various research papers on topics of healthy relationships, mindfulness, developmental disabilities, and mental health, as well as taught at the University of Toronto. She has a special interest and experience in leading individual and group mindfulness sessions for children, youth, and parents with various mental health concerns.

Dr. Fraccaro is a registered psychologist with the College of Psychologists of Ontario. She
received her Doctor of Philosophy degree in School and Applied Child Psychology from the
University of Calgary. Dr. Fraccaro specializes in child and adolescent psychological assessment
and intervention. She is skilled in conducting comprehensive psychological, psychoeducational,
and developmental assessments to identify and support a variety of concerns including
learning disabilities, intellectual giftedness, developmental disorders, attention and behaviour
disorders, and mood and anxiety disorders. Dr. Fraccaro has a special interest in supporting
children and adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and their families. She is trained
in gold-standard assessment and diagnosis of ASD and has several years’ experience
supporting children with ASD in enhancing their social, behavioural, and emotion-regulation
skills.
Dr. Fraccaro uses a genuine, collaborative, and strengths-based approach to develop
individualized treatment that suits the unique strengths, needs, and goals of her clients. She

Juliana Santos has an undergraduate degree in Psychology and a postgraduate degree in Neuropsychology, both completed in Sao Paulo, Brazil, where she was born and raised. She has recently completed the Bridge to Registration and Employment in Mental Health (BREM) program. She is now a member of the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario, CRPO (Qualifying status). Having recently moved to Canada, Juliana is a new member of this community and very excited to serve the mental health field. Over the years, Juliana has developed a diversified skill set covering: psychological assessment, psychoeducation, group facilitation, and delivering multiple psychotherapy modalities. She has worked with adults, families, youth, and children experiencing varied mental health concerns.

Prior to becoming an OT, Pooja served the role of an Intervenor; supporting individuals with deafblindness through the sense of touch and Signed Exact English. In 2017, Pooja received the William Osler Health System Award of Excellence in Clinical Practice where she supported the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Unit in serving patients with Autism Spectrum Disorder through a sensory lens. Most recently, she has completed her Mindfulness Meditation Teacher training and looks forward to incorporating mindfulness techniques in her clinical practice. Pooja is currently in progress of obtaining her Handwriting Specialist designation with Handwriting Without Tears. At present, Pooja also serves the Occupational Therapist role with The York Hills Centre.

Ms. Sehgal is a Registered Psychotherapist in Ontario and completed a Ph. D.in Psychology in India. She has more than two decades of experience in psychotherapy with diverse populations. Her Ph.D. research investigated CBT interventions for adolescents. She completed a bridging program for Internationally Trained Mental Health professionals at Seneca College, in Toronto, Ontario. A recipient of the Fulbright Award for Counselling, she has international exposure to best practices in the field of counseling and psychotherapy.
She has worked with children, youth, adults, and families for individual and group therapy and has been providing services for distress, depression, anxiety, family conflicts, career struggles, workplace stress, and similar psychosocial issues. Her treatment approaches include the integration of cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness, trauma-informed and humanistic with a collaborative and client-centered focus.
A member of the American Psychological Association, The Ontario Association of Mental Health Professionals, and the World Health Organization’s (WHO) Global Clinical Practice Network; she provides services in English, Hindi, Punjabi, and Urdu.

Yana Yagudin is a registered clinical social worker, with the College of Social Workers and
Social Service Workers. Yana received her Master of Social Work degree from the University of
Toronto, where she specialized in Children and Families. She received her post-graduate Social
Work degree through Lakehead University. Yana completed her undergraduate degree at York
University, where she majored in Psychology with a specific focus on clinical and counselling
psychology.
