Stress

One of the most common reasons people seek help from our clinic is to learn how to manage stress more effectively.  While we can’t often do much about some of the stressors that occur in life, we can work on developing skills to manage it more effectively.  The stress response is made up of a number of components including the stressor itself (e.g. work deadlines), thought patterns, emotions, physiological reactions, and behaviours.  We work with our clients to help them become more aware of unhelpful ways they may be reacting to stressors in their life, and to develop more helpful ways of responding. If you’re interested in learning more about managing stress, you can take our 5-day stress management challenge!
